Next generation crop protection

Building new capabilities to mitigate frost injury and deploy climate resilience on demand

About

Advanced Agriscience is developing biological crop inputs for extreme weather climate resilience to secure and strengthen agrifood productivity with an initial focus on frost protection.

Technology

Frosts cause more losses than any other climate-related hazard

Estimated at $1.5 billion per year in the US alone and projected to reach up to $4 billion by 2050 with single events capable of much more.
Protection is crucial as frosts can destroy entire crops, particularly in the late spring when unexpected freezing causes ice to form within tissues, killing cells.

A new, alternative approach

Through new mechanisms of action, our biological approach directly inhibits molecular frost formation to mitigate injury, providing superior, cost-effective, and sustainable protection
Unlike existing methods that warm plants or circulate cold air, we are targeting the cause of frost with non-toxic and sustainable biological inputs.

Plug-and-play passive protection

Ready-to-use formulations for seed or spray treatment integrating seamlessly into existing practices, reducing losses, labour, and environmental impact.
Ultimately, our mission is to save growers time and money while providing improved protection with reduced labour requirements and environmental impacts.
